Terry’s Tidbits
Thursday, April 24th, 2008Are you planning a trip to Nashville this summer? I have some suggestions. Now some call me “Terry The Savy Traveler” and here is why: When headed to Music City, make sure you hit The Country Music Hall of Fame, it is in the general downtown area and is stocked full of your favorite music’s memoribilla. Give yourself some time to savor all that is country music, the afternoon will fly by marked with smiles, laughter and a few tears. There are a number of small shops and museums in that area that will offer a unique shopping and pondering experience. Charlie Daniels “museum” comes to mind. Stop into the area bars, if only for a soda, you NEVER know who will take the stage and offer an unforgettable musical experience. Don’t go anywhere without your Kodak, trust me, you never know who you will see. Grab your sneakers, there is a new offering in that general area as well, it’s The Country Music Walk of Fame.
Here is more info:
“The Music Mile” is roughly a one-mile stretch, which connects downtown to Music Row. Along the mile when you head west from the Schermerhorn Symphony Center you will encounter the Country Music Hall of Fame, Gaylord Entertainment Center, the Musicians Hall of Fame, the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, and the soon to be Gospel Hall of Fame.
Keep walking on down the mile and you will soon come across the Frist Center for the visual arts, and new entertainment, restaurants and shopping along Demonbruen St and the Music Row Roundabout.
Stop back from time to time, I will add more stops to your trip. I assure you of one thing, you will love Nashville! It is warm, friendly, inviting and a slice of heaven for the Country Music lover!!!!!
