Wassup Batavia???

Why does Batavia get EVERYTHING????  First they get the Polar Wave, how cool is that?  No really, that thing is so much fun on a good snowy day with tons of friends and family aboard.  Then spring hits and everyone’s lawn looks like crap except…The Batavia Turf Farm, dandelions everywhere but not there, just rolling green lawns, looking oh so…Kentucky-like!   Like that isn’t enough to hang your hat on, I was rollin’ down the Thruway last week and lo and behold, Batavia now lays claim to a paint ball court!!!  Oh ya, they were constructing the net, rolling in the fake rocks (unless that dude was Indiana Jones) and loading up the guns!!!  I’ll keep an eye out for completion than I’ll take you on…don’t count me out, have you seen me fire the tee-shirt rocket lately?   Locked and loaded baby………….

Hi Terry! First of all, I love love love listening to the Bee Morning Coffee Club. Anyway, I have lived in Batavia pretty much my entire life…. and it is a nice place to live, but we really don’t have everything. Maybe my friends and I take it all for granted, but we think that Batavia is boring with a capital ‘B’. We even don’t have a respectable movie theatre or shopping mall…

I concur with the last comment. I grew up in Batavia my whole life too - and if you ever wanted to see a movie, you had to drive 20 minutes to Tinseltown in Gates. Now that I’ve lived in Rochester for about 5 years - I look back and see Batavia has more than I thought when I was in high school - but a city Batavia’s size should have a movie theatre. They did just get a Target though and there is more expansion on the way from what I’ve heard.
