I love jon n kate. everyone is appalled at the way kate is earning for her kids. What is she going to do when they ALL reach college age? What is she going to do if just one (God forbid) gets a serious illness?I dont think the kids are being exploited at all,its no different when a celebrity gets a divorce or has a family problem.We just don’t see it on camera. In many ways they are relatable as far as marriage and kids go.There are many ups and downs unfortunely thier marriage isn’t surviving a down.Before anyone judges either jon or kate put yourself in their shoes. I do agree that Jon could have waited to start dating before his divorce is final. I think Kate is handling it as best she can considering she is at home with the kids most of the time. And shame on her brother and sister-in-law for cashing in on jon and kates private matters!

I can still watch this show. The kids are the only reason that I watch it, but now it’s not even about the kids. It is about the parents. Kate did get caught up in the fame, and now all they do is go on free vacations and every other place imaginable. I feel like Kate can not get over the divorce…she still wears her wedding ring and isn’t moving on like she said she would (which does not mean going on dates with other people, which Jon has been doing!) At the same time, I really wish that the tabloids would leave them alone. Wow, one family got divorced and now it’s all over the news! Alot of families get divorced and their stories aren’t in magazines! Tabloid workers get paid to make up lies and make people look bad. It’s not even a job. It’s a crime.

I think they both are at fault! Although, I think Jon has just gone off the deep end! Who has eight kids and leaves his family to party with a young girl? Did they even try counseling? Yes, I agree Kate could be down right rude to Jon, he should have spoken up instead of accepting it.Poor little babies..I hope the children will be okay..

I completly agree! I used to love that show, all my girlfriends and I watched it at college every night is was on and reruns now I refuse to watch it anymore. She would of won some respect from me if when things started getting bad between her and john she called of the show to work it out but no they were to busy wanting money and free vacations to take time off from the show to save their family.

I know that I am slow on making a comment, but will anyhow. I really enjoyed the show and the little ones, I did watch it for the kids. I was so sad and not wanting to believe that they were really going to break up and not give it a decent second try. Why did they go to Hawaii and renew their vows, if they were going to end it this way? Guess we will never know!
I really am sadden by all of this happening to the children. My kids were much older, but it wasn’t easy for them either. No matter the age it is the worse thing that can happen to a child. I hope this doesn’t do even double the damage, being on TV and all…………..
One last thing, yes Kate could be a B_____, but she didn’t hide it and Jon really knew prior to all of this. It just seems when the man lets it go for so long, it’s really his own fault that it reaches such depths, and suddenly he can’t take it any longer!
It takes two, of course…………….

Been there, done that. As a father of four kids through three failed marriages I can say without prejudice that I wish I could have made things work out no matter the cost. My kids have been the ones who’ve suffered through it all. Jon & Kate’s kids will also suffer in relative silence for many years beyond the life of the show. I once watched thier show every week and always wondered how she could treat Jon like that. I also wondered how long he would last after the episode when he asked her when she was going to remove the “stick”. You could tell then he was getting fed up. It’s too bad they both could’nt see what was coming and make the right decisions to save thier marriage and maybe the kids some grief. Many folks thought the Hawaian episode was a good one, but we only saw what the editors left in. I often wish I could go back and change things. I wonder if they do.

I agree that these poor kids will now have to suffer because of their parents wrong choices. I about cried watching the last show, but i feel like “they” choose to bring 8 kids into the world. “They” choose to do the show, and Jon is acting like some college boy who got his girlfriend pregnant and not ready for it. Yes Kate is a nag…but seems like that is who she has always been and he knew that from the start. I wish for the children’s sake they could work things out off camera.

I agree - those poor kids. I never watched the show, but I hear and read plenty to draw the same conclusions. Sounds like she just wants things her way no matter what the cost. She has a lifestyle to maintain and will do whatever it takes to keep it, even if it means losing her husband and exploiting her innocent kids. I watched about 10 minutes the other day - when they were setting up playhouses and the dad wanted them tucked away where paparazzi couldn’t film them and she pitched a fit!
Orange County Chopper show was at their house and I couldn’t stand to watch that either! She came across as a selfish “witch” even on their show!

I agree with you Terry. I have watched off and on many seasons. And though, Jon is not an innocent party, I couldnt take Kate for one day. She treated him like “a dog”. If he had a backbone, it might have been better. But what a nag….The popularity went straight to her head..and he couldnt take it at all. What did they expect?

I am with you Terry! In my position I see kids go through tough stuff everyday. Now these poor babies have to go through it on television. I see anniversary shows 20 years down the line. They will never again just be able to be kids. Parents can really suck!!!!!!!!
